Oversight on the Royal Streak

Regal Streak is a traditional slot machine created by the mysterious Red Tiger and R7. Taking the less-is-more approach, the game’s theme and visuals aren’t very interesting. The primary game in Regal Streak is straightforward, but the game’s free spins bonus round is packed with multipliers that can lead to unexpectedly high payouts.

The graphics are also simplistic, using an emerald green, star-patterned background that looks like the felt on a pool table. The grid isn’t much more elaborate. A gold bar frames a slot machine with five reels and three paylines, all of which are populated by vivid, chunky symbols. The experience is completed by what could be described as a jazzy, disco rendition of Pumped up Kicks by Foster the People. Okay, a really jazzy arrangement, with the usual bleeps for this genre of game serving as the remaining sound effects.

Regal Streak is mobile-friendly and accepts bets from 10 cents to $10 or €10 each spin. Not exactly high roller friendly, but the potential is considerable, therefore bets have perhaps been held in to avoid exposure. Payout percentage of 95.71% is little below average, and volatility is quite high. This is a bit unexpected, considering how often test features were activated. Regal Streak didn’t seem as stingy as some of the other games in the Red Tiger stable, but it could just be because we played it on a good day.

Regal Streak is mainly a conventional fruit-themed slot, but there are a few twists that may catch you off guard. The first is the pay anywhere mechanism, where winning is triggered by getting three or more identical symbols on an active payline. The order of the reels or whether or not the winning symbols are nearby does not matter. Using this method allows you to get more out of the game’s restricted number of paylines than if you merely stared at the first three reels the whole time.

The paytable is devoid of any unique features, however, consisting solely of stock icons. At one extreme of the spectrum are the 10–Ace royals, while at the other are the cherries, four–leaf clovers, bells, and lucky 7s. Receiving 13.5 to 45 times the wager for a full line of premium symbols. There is only one additional symbol, the scatter, which we’ll talk about in a minute.

Features of the Regal Streak

outside the pay anywhere mechanic there isn’t much jazzing up the main game outside Regal Nudges. However, if you crank up the bonus game too much, it might become out of control. There are various multiplier-related features, including Regal Spins.

If two scatters appear on an active payline during the main game, the logo’s crown may descend and gently nuzzle the reels. Regal Nudge is a feature that, when activated, increases the chance of a third scatter appearing during free spins.

A total of 15, 20, or 25 Regal Spins are awarded when 3, 4, or 5 Regal Spins symbols appear anywhere in view. One of the pay symbols is chosen at random to be the multiplier symbol before the free spins in Regal Spins begin. The corresponding multiplier bar for this symbol is then positioned above the reels. The bar’s greater values represent the higher paying symbols. For instance, the multiplier bar might show the values x7, x14, x21, and x28 if the lucky seven symbol is selected.

Now, the round begins at x1, and when more and more wins involve the multiplier symbol, the progress bar advances and more multipliers become available. During the bonus round, every win line is multiplied by the current active multiplier. The feature is further boosted when 3 or more Regal Spins symbols appear on a payline – 3, 4 or 5 Regal Symbols on a line add 10, 15 or 20 free spins respectively. Also, they raise the Multiplier Bar values by +1 for each Regal Spins symbol on the line. When three bonus symbols appear on a line, for instance, the multiplier bar for fortunate 7s grows by 10, 17, 24, and 31.

Judgment on a Pristine Run

R7’s Regal Streak is a generic sports game that makes no attempt to stand out from the crowd. The game is exactly what it claims to be on the box, and nothing more. While the win multiplier adds a bit more commotion to Regal Spins, the basic gaming mechanics remain unchanged. The potential for gains of up to 9,545 times the stake means that Regal Streak might not be a total loss.

The overall simplicity of the design in Regal Streak may appeal to those seeking a throwback experience reminiscent of the classic slot machine, Reel King. As a result of the chosen symbol mechanism, the bonus game has a similar feel to ‘Book of’ games, while the rules are otherwise extremely different. Regal Streak’s simplistic gameplay will either appeal to you or bore you to tears, and there’s not much else to say about it.

Regal Streak is a conventional slot machine with a minimal design, fast gameplay, and the chance for large payouts if you’re lucky. For the rest of us, making a call will feel as old fashioned as using a rotary dial phone to contact a buddy.
