Matt Smith

I am a freelance illustrator working mainly in children’s publications.
Barbarian Lord is a character I’ve had trudging through my mind for some years.
He is a culmination of and tribute to Norse mythology, Icelandic sagas, He-Man, Thundarr and Conan.

Paint and Pixel has provided the motivation to take a break from cute and indulge
the grim and frostbitten, as well as working in comics–a medium I enjoy and rarely find time to create.
